World Corporate Golf Challenge

1 May 2012

Today sees the launch of the 2012 World Corporate Golf Challenge held at Fancourt, South Africa. The increasingly popular 7 day event, finishing on May 6th, is now in its nineteenth year. The event started in the UK back in 1993 but by ‘97 was so popular it went international and reached more than 20 counties. The World Corporate Golf Challenge is the biggest corporate golf tournament in the world and is now stronger than ever with over 25 countries and 150,000 players taking part.

This is the third consecutive year South Africa has hosted the event but unfortunately they are yet to take the title. However with Louis Oosthuizen having such a good year maybe some of the luck will rub off on his fellow South Africans and this will be their year! We certainly hope so. Last year’s winners were Northern Ireland and their team ‘Northern Ireland Civil Services Sports Association ’ They are taking part again this year and we’re sure they’ll be looking to take home the title again. This year The World Corporate Golf Challenge is delighted to announce that, legendary golfer and Ryder Cup Captain Tony Jacklin, has confirmed his support as the official global tournament ambassador! The event is a fantastic opportunity for networking, team building  and  entertaining customers. For  companies looking for something that little bit different… taking part in a World Golf Challenge whilst enjoying the South African weather and scenery surely ticks that box!
