Top Course – Erinvale

30 March 2012

As we discussed in one or our previous blogs, Global Golf Boom, since leaving his professional career behind him Gary Player now has a number of ventures on the go and none more popular than the golf course design company he runs with his son. To date Gary and his team have designed over 300 courses across the world and one of them is Erinvale located in Somerset West just 30min from Cape Town CBD. This 18 hole course is fast becoming renowned throughout the golfing community and having played host to 1996 World Cup not to mention the 2005 SAA Open, its no surprise.

Anyone who’s ever played this fairway has  commented on it being both a visual delight and a challenging course. Located at the foothills of the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountains this course offers players an incredibly scenic backdrop and and excellent round of golf on a challenging course.. On ‘19th’ you’ll experience the friendly warm hospitality that South Africans are renowned for. It’s a friendly and warm club house where Players can relax and unwind after their round with a drink from the bar or snack from the extensive menu. The club’s constant quest for perfection and improved facilities will also ensure a memorable experience off as well as on the course.

If you’re interested in playing at Erinvale or any of our other recommended courses please visit our website for more details.
