South Africa's Garden Route

2 March 2012

When you think of South Africa, ‘The Garden Route’ is more often than not an area that comes to mind. The Garden Route stretches from Heidelberg, in the Western Cape through to the Storms River, in the Eastern Cape. The name comes from the diverse vegetation found here and the numerous lagoons and lakes dotted along the coast. Its oceanic climate gives it the mildest temperatures in South Africa and according to the Guinness Book of Records its a close second to Hawaii for the mildest world temperature.

The Garden Route not only has some of the World’s most breathtaking Coastlines but more importantly 12 of the World’s most renowed golf courses – all within 140km.

There is so much to do in this wonderful and stunning area of South Africa that we highly recommend making it part of your trip itinerary. Fly into Cape Town and spend a few days discovering the Western Cape, naturally including a round or two at some of the local golf courses, then take a meandering journey through this spectacular part of the world – the ultimate golfing road trip!

Here at Caddyshack Rentals we think a ‘The Garden Route’s is a must see aspect of South African and will leave you with some unforgettable memories.
