South Africa: A walk on the wild side!

13 November 2012

Although safari tours are not synonymous with Cape Town (as much as they are with other areas of South Africa) you are still able to experience a taste of the wild side and encounter some of South Africa’s ‘big game’ in the Western Cape.

Aquila Private Game Reserve enjoys year round sun and is ideally situated for big game viewing. They offer a number of safari options including extended multiday trips complete with authentic accommodation for the real enthusiasts.

Over the past few years Aquila has helped reintroduce a number of wildlife back into population and are also incredibly proud to offer visitors a look at South Africa’s ‘Big Five’ (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant).

The reserve is also keen to educate visitors about the endangered status of the free-ranging cheetah. Its plight is well documented and Aquila are doing all they can to help the situation, including breeding, in the hope of keeping such a beautiful species alive and well.
