Golf Clubs : What’s Hot – Game improvement Irons

13 September 2012

Every month we review the new golf clubs hitting the stores in 2012 and give you our Caddyshack Rentals top 3 picks.

We’ve already covered drivers, irons, putters, fairway woods and wedges (just click on the relevant golf club and we’ll take you there) so what’s left?

Whether you’re just starting out or a regular on the fairway, there’s always room for improvement, any pro golfer will tell you that. So today were going to look at clubs that, believe it or not, help do exactly that; Game Improvement Irons

TaylorMade RocketBallz – The 3-, 4- and 5-irons are made from 455 Carpenter Steel and feature a hollow construction to maximize distance. The large face is very thin (as little as 1.8 millimetres in some spots) to optimize spring-like effect.

Cleveland CG Black – The CG Black, Cleveland’s first iron with a titanium face, continues the company’s commitment to lightweight technology. Each iron features a Lamkin Lite grip and 59g Miyazaki C.Kua shaft to help keep the overall weight low to maximize swing speed.

Cobra AMP – The 3-to-7 iron use multiple materials (431 stainless-steel body and a high-strength hyper 17-4 steel face) to increase ball speed. The 431 stainless-steel short irons feature an undercut to concentrate weight in the heel and toe for forgiveness. A new sole design adds bounce to prevent digging.
